On March 1st 2012 we look forward to seeing you at  - Agri-Expo 2012 - this will be held at The Kent County Showground Detling .

As usual we will be exhibiting at the Kent County Show at Detling from the 13th - 15th July 2012.

SALTEX 2012 at Windsor Racecourse from September 4th - 6th 2012. 

Also booked is the Bentley WoodFair 2012 from September 21st - 23rd 2012.

In February 2010 I did some training on Ascension Island for VT Communications and in August 2009 I came back from undertaking two weeks training in the South Atlantic Island of St Helena for the RSPB.  I have set up a blog to keep people up to date on this and other pesticides information.   Perhaps I should now call this company Ian Gower International!

During 2008, Ian Gower set up a new business - IG Horticulture - selling horticultural hand tools, knapsack sprayers and personal protective equipment.  There is also be a tool hire service for people coming on our courses.  For further details visit the website.

The Weald WoodFair was a great success this year with the weather being the best yet and IG Horticulture managed some good sales.

We exhibited at SALTEX 2009 on two stands, jointly with Field House Assessments and ME Training.  Working together is a great advantage because the customer gets a complete training and assessment package.  Our new business - IG Horticulture also was on show and customers were told of the benefits of this new enterprise.

I was not able to be at the Kent Show this year due to running training courses on St Helena, but Ian Gower Associates was represented there by Field House Assessments and ME Training.

September 2008

At the Weald Woodfair 2008 we exhibited with Field House Assessments, ME Training and ESUS.  Again our new business - IG Horticulture was introduced.

We exhibited at SALTEX 2008 on our usual stand EH01.  Our new business - IG Horticulture also was on show and customers were told of the benefits of this new enterprise.  Field House Assessments was on the next door stand EH00.

This year we had a useful time at the Kent County Show and even though the weather forecast initially was not good the sun was out for most of the time, especially on Sunday.

At the Weald Woodfair 2007 we exhibited with Field House Assessments, ME Training and ESUS.  Several old customers were met up with and new contacts were made.

We exhibited at SALTEX 2007 on our usual stand EH01, this year linking up with Field House Assessments on the next door stand EH02.

July 2007

This year the Kent County Show was even more of a success, the weather was very good to us considering the recent wet weather and we met new and existing customers.  Again we linked up with the HSE, Field House Assessments and ME Training Services (quality chainsaw and other machinery training) and our stand was in the Forestry Area.

September 2006

We exhibited for the first time at the Weald Woodfair 2006 held September 15 - 17 2006 with Field House Assessments, the Health and Safety Executive, ME Training and ESUS.  The weekend was felt to be a great success and many new customers were met.

We exhibited at SALTEX  this year and again BASIS launched a new qualification from our stand, their new BETA Amenity course.  BETA = Biodiversity and Environmental Training for Advisors.

Ian Gower presented a paper at the Institute of Groundsmanship IOG in Action Conference at Millfield School in Somerset on the 15th August 2006.  Ian Gower Associates Ltd were one of the sponsors for this event.

The title of the paper was: The Code of Practice for Plant Protection Products - are you up to date?

As last year, we exhibited at the Kent County Show at Detling, near Maidstone, with the Health and Safety Executive, Field House Assessments and Mick Evans Training. Like last year, it was a very successful show and we are already planning for next year.

September 2005

We exhibited at SALTEX 2005, Windsor Racecourse, from the 6th to 8th September 2005. This exhibition, organised by the Institute of Groundsmanship, is Europe’s leading annual event for open space management professionals.

On the last day, Rob Simpson from BASIS launched their new POWER (Protection of Water the Environment and Recommendations) qualification.  We are offering this qualification please see here for further details.

We exhibited at the Kent County Show, Detling Showground from the 15th to 17th of July 2005 with Field House Assessments, ESUS and Mick Evans Training.  The stand was in the Forestry Section and we had a very successful show meeting many new and existing clients.
